Everyone is God’s Child

When I met God, one of the first things I was shown was all of the souls on the Earth. Every soul looked like a pearlescent white ball or a precious pearl. As I glanced at every soul over the Earth with God, I saw little labels over each soul which said, “Atheist”, “Christian”, “Buddhist”, “Muslim”, “Hindu”, “Jewish”, “Agnostic” etc. While humans may have loved their little label and identified with it, God and the angels just looked at the love and the soul.

As I glanced over the Earth through God’s eyes, God and the angels took me on a tour of the souls. I found myself hovering above the Earth wearing a little white robe with the four angels in Heaven to my right, looking at every soul of every religion, getting a special glimpse into everyone’s lives. The souls, like precious pearls, had entire life histories within them. Yet, regardless of each soul’s faith, origins, lives on the earth, hopes and dreams, or where they came from, they were simply made of pure love. God is love and so love is the essence of our soul.

God, the angels, and I hovered above an atheist soul. The atheist soul looked no different from any of the other souls on Earth. They simply didn’t believe in God. Yet, despite not believing in God, they had a love and hunger for the truth. God and the four angels showed me how much they loved and even admired the atheist soul in their quest for truth. There was no anger or judgement for them, no fear or condemnation: only love. God and the angels then showed me that sometimes the atheist is even more concerned with truth than a Christian. Truth, after all, is a component of love.

Without words, God and the four angels also showed me that if an atheist or an agnostic died, it didn’t mean they were going somewhere bad as many Christians thought. After all, no one can know what a person says before they die or at their moment of death. God was showing me all of this because of how I grew up. I was raised in the Deep South where certain viewpoints about God, Christianity, and life on the other side ran rampant. As a child, these limiting perspectives only pushed me further away from Christianity. I often heard things like only Christians were God’s children, and no one else.

But God and the angels showed me things through their eyes. God spoke to me in the vision and said, “Everyone is my child. They can’t not be my child because I made them in my image.” The image of God is pure love and so the soul is pure love, too. God and the four angels, at one point, showed me an ideal future for the souls of the Earth: a future of how they hoped one day everyone would get along and live in peace regardless of their faith, but when people choose to fight over which faith is wrong or right, it’s important to remember that every person of every faith has that same Love and Light of God.

You are made for peace, love, and joy.
