Frequently Asked Questions

Our only purpose is just to love. When we love, we are living within God and within our true selves. While some of us may have a purpose here on Earth that involves a certain career path, we are ultimately just called to just love and serve others.

While I understood from God that suffering does help us to grow and learn, we are not meant to stay there. In life, there are also good things we can focus on to help us move forward or heal. Suffering is a part of life, but it is not meant to be all of life. God’s Light is always there in our pain, even though we don’t see it or feel it.

People go to Heaven because they have a belief in God or Jesus Christ from within their heart or they live a life of love. When people believe in God or Jesus Christ from within their heart, they are usually filled with God’s Holy Spirit from within and this is the “seal” or guarantee of Heaven. Since God and Heaven are ultimately about expressing love or simple faith, people of various faiths from around the world can go to Heaven.

I was taken from my body before the car was about to hit me and felt only immense peace, love, and joy as I was taken to Heaven. People before they die often only feel peace, love, or joy as they are escorted home to Heaven by God, the angels, Jesus Christ, or their loves ones.

The afterlife is often a reflection of a person's spiritual life on Earth, whether they are connected to God or Jesus, or whether they lived a life of love. Just like here on Earth, things exist within a spectrum, the afterlife is something of a spectrum, too, where you can end up in a place, realm or world with greater levels of love or intimacy to God/Jesus Christ or you can end up further away. Most NDErs end up either above Earth or in what the LDS church refers to as the Telestial Realm or Kingdom. It's often full of stars, planets, galaxies and people there still feel immense levels of peace, love, or joy. They are often greeted by angels, God, or their loved ones and guides (Tricia Barker, David Ditchfield). Some people find themselves in the Pre-Birth realm, or where they were before they came to Earth (Joanna Oblander, Christian Sundberg). Other NDErs, usually Christians, end up in what's called the Celestial Kingdom, which is The Kingdom of Heaven proper. They often find themselves outside of the gates of Heaven, or outside of a city (also called Crystal City) with mansions, streets of gold, in a library, or near the throne room of God (Don Piper, Anna Beam). They may also find themselves on or near The New Earth (Ian McCormack). Other NDErs sometimes end up in Paradise, which is an area outside of Heaven (kind of like the suburbs around a city), usually full of gardens, trees, healing, flowers, fruit, and houses. Again, it's still a place of Love and Light, where people usually talk to God, the angels, their loved ones (spirit guides), or Jesus Christ.
