Seeing Jesus

Today, I had a vision of Jesus. I woke up early in the morning to pray and then had a vision of Jesus. In the first one, He was smiling and laughing with His disciples or His family. He looked as if He were pleased or happy. Then, He was carrying me as a pure, white lamb over his shoulders from the trees of a forest. I knew the lamb represented me, like I was a sheep that had gone astray. I felt His warmth and His glow and felt blessed that He was turned with His Face toward me. The scripture came to mind, how Jesus leaves the 99 to rescue the one. This reminded me that, to God, you are a pure, white lamb. To God, you are a sheep, even if you do not see or feel yourself that way. To God, you are valuable.

I went to church for a lively discussion about Genesis and how people perceive the creation story, whether they view it as a young Earth creationist, an old Earth Creationist, or as being in line with evolution and modern science. One of the hymns we sang during mentioned how every gift or good thing is blessing from God and I reflected on this throughout the afternoon. I’ve realized, spiritually, over the years, that this is true. I’ve seen God, through His Spirit, place people and things in my life, and then, through His Spirit, take them away.

When I got home, I watched the 700 Club, looking for an inspiring testimony to watch. Funnily enough, the two testimonies I watched on 700 Club were about how everything in our lives is a blessing from God. While I was watching the show, I saw Jesus again, in a third vision, as the carpenter, walking toward me from Jerusalem or Israel. It reminds me that when you draw near to God, He always draws near to you.

You are made for peace, love, and joy and an infinite connection to God. You are loved and forgiven by God and the angels in Heaven and you are never alone.

God bless,
Kathryn Elsie
