Learning to Forgive

When I came back from Heaven, I wasn’t miraculously healed. God could’ve put me back into my body and erased a lifetime of trauma and religious fear, but, for whatever reason, God didn’t.

What God did show me the instant I came back into my body my is that unforgiveness and emotions like anger are actually stored in our bodies as energy. This energy is like a shadow or something we attract to ourselves or into ourselves through our hearts and our minds (whether intentionally or unintentionally) when we have thoughts or beliefs that are out of alignment with love. God also showed me that our souls are perfect and come from God. They are made of that perfect diamond or crystal that comes from Heaven, so they can never be tarnished.

The body, however, is a little different. We can store things in our spiritual bodies like emotions of unforgiveness or anger. The key to releasing these emotions is through learning how to relax or let go physically or emotionally. People who have been through a lot of trauma or grew up in environments where they felt unsafe often have very stiff bodies. They are tense or controlling because they do not know how to relax and let go of the anger or fear that is stored up inside of them. Through a practice of daily prayer, physical and emotional relaxation, you can release the unwanted or unpleasant emotions from your body.

When I came back from Heaven, I came across the books The Body Keeps the Score and The Emotion Code by Bradley Nelson, who had an experience with God teaching him about energy and stored emotions in the body, how trauma can create a wall around the heart. Dr. Nelson’s method uses magnets and questionnaires to release stored energy or unwanted emotions, but in my experience, you can simply ask God and the angels to help you release the unwanted emotion and they will take it for you.

To release the unwanted emotions or stored energy, I often take time to sit each day or lay down in a relaxed position, put on relaxing or healing music, or a television show, and ask God and the angels to help me forgive God, myself, or a particular person or group. I ask them to help me release the particular emotion from within my body and help me locate where that tension is stored so that I can release it. You know you’ve forgiven someone when you think of the person, place, or thing that caused you pain, and you no longer have any feelings of tension, frustration, or anger.

What my experience of going to Heaven shows me is that while you can go to Heaven without having forgiven anyone in your life, we are responsible for learning how to love and forgive others while we are here on this Earth. So, take time to slow down and ask yourself, who have you not forgiven today? Is it a particular person or family member who hurt you? Is it a group of people, like conservatives or liberals? Is it a company or a culture? Is it a church? Who can you love, release, and forgive today?

You are made for peace, love, and joy, and an infinite connection to God. You are loved and forgiven by God and the angels in Heaven and you are never alone.

God bless,
Kathryn Elsie
